MELTING POT : PAPUA NEW GUINEA
[Papua New Guinea Diving Information] Diving site information are up for most areas!
Papua New Guinea is surrounded by the Coral Sea, Solomon Sea, Bismarck Sea, and the Pacific Ocean. Because each sea has different environments such as ocean currents, topography, and water temperature, a unique ecosystem has developed for each sea area. Because the total number of resorts and hotels, as well as visiting tourists are still relatively small, not to mention the overwhelmingly small population for this area of the country, civilization has almost no effect near the resort. The cruise ship diving style was introduced in 1986, when there were fewer resorts, and thus is how many diving spots became known all over the world. Presently many cruise ships still operational and new points are being developed one after another. There are countless unknown areas that can only be reached by cruise ships such as the Eastern Fields off Port Moresby, the Ninigo Islands off the coast of Wewak, the Star Reefs off the north of Tufi, and the Louisiade Archipelago, and so on. The waters of Papua New Guinea are rich in nutrients from the land and oceanic currents from the deep sea, and an astoundingly diverse organisms fight each other in search of their own living places, various fish, corals and invertebrates are living among each other like a (melting pot). In Papua New Guinea, the world's rarest and primitive marine environment are still spreading. Furthermore, in the Amazon of the sea "Coral Triangle", it occupies the largest water area after Indonesia.
